Volunteers for Children

PFCR’s Volunteers for Children initiative was established to help our organization operate on a lean budget and leverage every dollar we receive so we can serve as many children as possible. Currently, we have more than 15 attorneys and professionals who volunteer their services throughout the week.

YOU can make a difference in a child’s life.
While many of our original volunteers remain committed to assisting PFCR achieve its mission, we are always in need of additional help.

Volunteer Attorneys
Volunteer attorneys participate in extensive training in specific areas of our law practice. They receive ongoing support and supervision from experienced attorneys throughout the course of their client representation. Our volunteer attorneys have a broad range of professional experience, spanning from private practice to public interest law.  We give preference to volunteers who devote a minimum of three days per week in the offices of PFCR.

Volunteer Social Service Professionals
Coordinated by the Director of Social Services, volunteers in our social services unit provide referrals, assessments, and case planning. This unit consists of professionals with experience in mental health and education services.
